Parking

´A small picturesque village which fits snugly into the steep cliffs on the North Yorkshire coast´...

...Bay Town has developed over many centuries, and even in the relatively recent times of King George IV when the Inn was first opened (1828) they didn´t give car access a second thought! As a result parking is at the top of the Bank. However it is possible for hotel guests to drive down to the Bay Hotel to unload on arrival.

From The North

Travelling From Whitby
Follow signs towards Scarborough (A171)
Continue onto A171 for 3.2 miles
At Hawsker, follow the signpost to 'Robin Hoods Bay' and turn left onto the B1447
Continue for 2.4 miles
The main Car park is signposted opposite the Grosvenor Hotel, but if you continue down Station Road, there is a smaller (closer) car park at the top of the hill.
You then need to walk down the hill towards the sea and the Bay Hotel is the last building on the left.

From The South

Travelling From Scarborough
Follow signs towards Whitby (A171)
After 16 miles, follow the signposts to 'Robin Hood's Bay and turn right down 'Sledgates'. Continue following the road downhill for a further 1 .2 miles until you come to a junction with Station Road (opposite the 'Wayfarer' Restaurant). If you turn right, there is a smaller (closer) car park on the right, or alternatively a larger car park can be reached by turning left.
You then need to walk down the hill towards the sea and the Bay Hotel is the last building on the left.

Walkers, and the last few steps..

Many people arrive in Robin Hood's Bay by completing the famous Wainwright´s 'Coast-to-Coast' Walk. We reckon that if you've got this far you don't need directions.
The Bay Hotel is the last building you passed on the left before your feet got wet!

For the others :

Follow the road down the hill towards the sea and the Bay hotel is the last building on the left before your feet get wet!
